“Passion, art, message, just good music!” - writes Michael Tait (of the popular DC Talk). With heartfelt vocals, quality musicianship and timelessly crafted songs, the award winning Timothy Paul Band appeals to a diverse audience. It’s modern edge and style draws from the best of rock, alternative and soul. Performing in competition with bands from across the nation the Timothy Paul Band placed in the top three at GMA’s 28th annual Seminar in the Rockies, in August of 2002.

Performing live with energy, variety and humor, the Timothy Paul Band connects with audiences in a way that defies barriers. The band features songwriter, guitarist, pianist and vocalist Timothy Paul Nutting. Nicknamed “Cat Stevens” by leading performance coach Tom Jackson, Timothy Paul’s voice brings memories of past legends. His songwriting artfully communicates heart and message and has been described as “timeless” by John Mays, former president of Star Song & Benson records.

Timothy Paul trained and worked with Youth With A Mission in the US, Thailand, Africa and Mexico. His experience includes training in community development with the University of the Nations and living in Tijuana, Mexico building homes for the poor. His heart is to use music to communicate truth to this generation and to support the integrated development of communities and individuals worldwide.

Bassist and vocalist Eli Agajanian adds energy and humor to the Timothy Paul Band. Eli grew up performing at notable events including Billy & Franklin Graham crusades with his father Danny and uncle Dennis Agajanian (both of Bluegrass fame). Eli is also a talented singer/songwriter with a passionate folk-rock sound and impressive musicianship on guitar and mandolin.

Drummer Rob Lavy is an accomplished musician with talent that crosses multiple musical genres. He earned his degree in percussion and placed first in statewide competitions. With rock steady rhythm and style, Rob reinforces the band’s raw energy and excitement.

During the summer of 2002 Timothy Paul and Eli Agajanian conducted a multi-state tour with two accompanying musicians. In Fall of 2002 the Timothy Paul Band began recording their first full production CD. The new CD is titled Over Me and is due for release June 20, 2003.
